I'm an architecture graduate from Newcastle university, who is working in the fashion industry for a company called Wear the Walk!
A brief history -
I returned to Newcastle University after graduating with a 2.1 as a tutor for a short project educating the architecture students on the use of materiality in design. This is something I am passionate about and have focused my research on.
I went on to start my position at trinity mirror in late October 2017 and I worked in there sales department for 8 months. It was a fantastic opportunity to learn some key skills in communication, pitching to clients and learning how to liaise in B2B sales. In the end although a great position it didn't have the creativity I was after which is when I moved to Wear The Walk. Head of designer relations means that I work closely with a selection of designers we stock and scout new talent for our customer base. As a company we are working to reduce the quickly growing behaviour of 'fast fashion' we offer a rental service that gives you the opportunity to enjoy great fashion without the cost or waste factor.
