Over the last (nearly) ten years, I've worked as a consultant, strategist, editor and community manager for over 30 major international brands including Berenberg Bank, Grant Thornton, AkzoNobel, Starwood Hotels, IKEA, National Geographic, British Film Council and Standard Bank. During this time, I've had the opportunity to travel around Europe and South Africa presenting and running workshops on social media and the opportunities it holds for businesses. I'm a visiting teacher and researcher at Cardiff University and Goldsmiths College where, in the capacity as Digital Ethnographer I've also collaborated on commercial research papers. Most recently these include papers on Wearable Technology and the next generation of AI. This research work has gained coverage on CNN, BBC Newsnight, Fast Company, Wall Street Journal, Tech Crunch, Telegraph and others. I hold an MSc with distinction in Digital Sociology from Goldsmiths University, University of London. I recently co-founded London's newest ballet school, Downton Ballet.
The MA/MSc in Digital Sociology is an inter-disciplinary programme taught across the Sociology and Computing Departments, and is based in the Centre for Creative and Social Technology (CAST).
