I’ve been the creative and strategic lead in developing and delivering events in the creative industries. I’m extremely passionate about delivering innovative new experiences to motivate and inspire audiences through live content. I'm a confident and friendly person and I thrive and enjoy working in a team. Due to the nature of the events I’ve been involved in; I have a lot of experience working with many different deadlines and projects concurrently. I have exceptional negotiating skills and am confident in driving profitability. In my recent role, I led the marketing team to deliver their most successful events programme to date, leading to new business leads.
Digitas is a global marketing and technology agency that transforms businesses for the digital age. My role was to create the strategy, content and production for an events programme which included; Adobe Summit, Cannes Lions Festival, Google Cloud, VivaTech and the flagship event ‘NewFront’. The events programme focused on digital innovation and thought leadership within this sector. My other main function is as the marketing manager promoting the business internally and externally. • Led the flagship event ‘NewFront: Make the Internet Great Again’ – speakers in 2017 included: Grace Dent, Jamie Bartlett, Mei Lin Fung. The event saw an increase in 40 key clients attending, up from 2 attendees in 2016. • Responsible for financial planning and spend of the £100K budget, event timelines, speaker bookings, logistics, production, supply chain, on site delivery, management of production crew.
I worked as the lead producer for the BBC area at the World Skills Show. Creating the strategy and content on how best to engage young people with the BBC. The event saw record numbers interacting to the BBC area, and drove applications to the BBC apprenticeships schemes. • Managed all production, stand content, celebrity bookings, logistics, VT production, stage content, stand design, directing crew and live stage show. The budget for the BBC area was £300K, I was accountable for all spend, invoicing and reconciliations. • Produced a conference at the BBC Radio Theatre focusing on apprenticeships. • Managed all the speaker bookings, logistics, scripts, show calling for the event. • I was able to work independently to deliver all aspects of the events programme to the highest standard.
I brought together a panel of leading media industry figures to discuss freedom of speech after the Charlie Hebdo attacks. • Booked the speakers, scripted the debate and created the session VTs. • Organised all travel logistics and schedules for the speakers and chairperson. All the onsite tech requirements and catering. • Organised all publicity working with internal BAFTA team to market the event.
The World Skills Show is the nation’s largest skills and careers event attracting over 60,000 people. In conjunction with the overarching theme of the World Skills Show, I worked with each BBC department to develop their content. Demonstrating my communication and negotiating skills whilst navigating a large organisation to deliver to a budget of £300K • Booked high profile guests for the Live Stage over three days; including dancers from Strictly Come Dancing, BBC Sports presenters and BBC Comedy acts. • Produced the entirety of the show including the wall graphics, VT’s for stage show, timelines, running orders and schedules, and all technical requirements for each of the individual ‘Hubs’. • Managed and directed the on-site crew, calling the show during the live stage show.
• Managed a team to deliver a six-day immersive residential workshop in Germany called ‘The Pixel Lab’. My main responsibilities included managing the 250€ budget, project timelines and schedules, and the team’s duties within the event. Onsite management of production crew, running all session VT's and presentations. • Worked with the venue manager at the hotel to organise all room hires, dinners and drinks receptions.
Festival Producer, Edinburgh International Television Festival December 2010 – February 2014 The TV Festival is an annual event, with over 2000 delegates attending over the 3 days. I was editorially responsible for bringing together prominent voices and creating sessions that cover current issues and themes of the television industry. • Booked highly regarded leading industry professionals to deliver keynote speeches at the Festival. Highlight bookings included; Charlie Brooker (Black Mirror), Vince Gilligan (Creator of Breaking Bad), Steve Levitan (Creator of Modern Family). • Managed all travel and logistics for speakers, ensuring all travel bookings stayed within budget. • Produced the Channel of the Year Awards; past hosts include Dara O Briain, Michael McIntyre and Jack Whitehall. Re-launched the awards, implementing new categories to recognise the innovations of cable and online broadcasters. Oversaw all broadcaster submissions for the Awards process; including the regulations for application and questionnaires for each application based on viewing figures and achievements. • Implemented a series of world premiere screenings at The Filmhouse in Edinburgh and at The Roundhouse in Camden; Speakers include Steven Moffat, Victoria Wood, Olivia Coleman and Greg Davies. • Devised and produced the annual I Love TV Quiz alongside the Festival Launch Party, wrote the quiz, sourced venue and booked host.
2003 – 2008 – Worked at several television production companies including Endemol, Tiger Aspect & GuardianFilms. Production co-ordinator and researcher roles in development and production through comedy, factual and current affairs.
