I am a friendly, sociable, and motivated individual, with strong organisational skills. Since graduating from Newcastle University two years ago, I have worked within fashion production for two major retailers. My experience has enabled me to develop an ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines, and to manage a heavy workload independently. Supplier management is a main focus of my current job role, and I am a confident communicator. Having studied English, I am also passionate about writing and all types of content. Aside from fashion, I am interested in beauty, fitness, art and wellbeing.
Currently, I am working within the buying office at the fast paced fashion retailer Primark. My role as a trainee buyer within fashion production requires high levels of organisation and prioritisation. I am responsible for the day to day running of the knitwear department, completing all administrative duties to a high standard, and managing a critical path to ensure tasks are completed on time. I communicate daily with a large supply base, managing a portfolio of 20+ suppliers. I am confident and professional in both verbal and written communication, and am comfortable liaising with clients and colleagues at all levels.
After graduating from Newcastle University with a degree in English, I completed the buying graduate scheme at luxury retailer Fenwick. My role at Fenwick was to manage the luxury handbags shop floor team, whilst also assisting the handbag buyer with all buying administrative work.
During the summer of 2013, I undertook a role at the BBC working as a production runner on 'The One Show.'
