I'm a professional designer and art director with 10 years of international experience. Having worked with companies like Google, Starbucks and KPMG on million-pounds projects, I saw how design can make-or-break even the most famous brands. That this why I consider the design industry a high-stake service, rather than a creative and artistic one (even if creativity is clearly part of it). I make a point of being able to hammer away at anything my client needs, while delivering always on time, on budget and at the highest standards. As a freelance designer and art director, I have worked with the best and biggest brands in the UK, as well as shoulder-to-shoulder with one-person startups and newborn social enterprises. My portfolio encompasses all things branding and in my 10 years international career I delivered branding projects with touchpoints in multiple market sectors: finance, tech, health, hospitality and gaming for companies such as Google, Starbucks, 3M and Travelex, to name a few. I am comfortable wearing different thinking hats, and I am also comfortable working on creative projects for major brands as well as producing design assets for small businesses. I ain't picky and I like to get stuff done. 'Let's get cracking' is my motto.Locked Pro Plan feature
I'm a professional and design is my trade. I make a point of being able to hammer away at anything my client needs and deliver to the highest standards, on time and on budget. Travelex is an iconic British company in the finance and exchange sector. For Travelex, I have led their UX team on the 'Tax-Free Shopping' platform. When leaving the EU, non-EU nationals can retrieve the VAT taxes they have paid during their stay in the EU. The process is longwinded, paper-based, expensive for each player involved and heavily prone to errors. Each single tax refund has to go through UK Police Border Force, HMRC and of course Travelex offices. This creates a number of bottlenecks that increse costs for both the company and the client. I was tasked with lading the 'TFS' design team out of the maze of variables, dependencies and unknowns of the tax refund process. Under the expert guidance of a seasoned product manager, and blessed with an amazing team of developers and testers, we delivered an almost flawless product in less than one year. Non-EU national, speaking any language from Mandarin Chinese to Arab, can enjoy a fast and seamless process and get their tax refunded easily, while Travelex can enjoy raised margins and reduced man-hours.
POP's platform has been used to find, hire, manage and pay thousands of actors, extras and equipment since 2016; for movies like Wonder Woman, Star Wars Rogue One, Dr Strange, Sherlock Holmes and 007 Skyfall, just to name a few. We Got POP, or simply 'POP', is the leading online platform for hiring and managing 'Extras' in the movie industry. Based in London but operating both in the US and the UK, POP has been on the forefront of digital transformation in the notoriously paper-based movie industry. While this industry has extremely advanced visual effects, when it comes to hiring and managing people, each production company still works with 'pencil, paper and phone'. For POP I have led the UX team, using my years of experience working on the threshold between branding and digital products. This allowed me to optimise their main platform while developing new products, all the while aligning their brand and communication with their double target audience: actors on one side and production companies on the others. POP is not simply an online platform, but its products are all interlinked to give management capabilities to production companies. This presented numerous challenges that were solved with constant research, in person interviews, surveys, prototyping and testing.
McCann is 'The Agency'. Featured multiple time in HBO's show 'Mad Men' is the benchmark for quality and originality in the design and advertising industry. As a contractor for McCann, I have worked on multiple branding projects in the healthcare industry. Developing brands with multiple touchpoints for healthcare giants is a challenge, where strategy, beauty and 'law & regulations' all must join together perfectly in order to deliver a successful solution.
For FCB Inferno, an international marketing and advertising agency, I have worked on ATL and BTL marketing campaigns for SKY and BMW. From strategy down to implementation and tracking, I worked with FCB's team to delivery two major national campaigns with online and offline funnels.
Purple Creative is London leading agency for branding and premium packaging for the wine & spirits industry. As a freelance contractor, I have worked for them on some of the UK most renewed brands. Alongside their main industry focus, there was also a chance to deliver branding and digital solutions for international firms in the hospitality sector such as Travelport.
As Art Director and designer for Publicis Group, my main responsibility was to create creative routes for branding and employer branding brief. Usually for major corporate clients like EY, Lloyds and BMW. Publicis is all about heritage and quality. Because of this company, I've had the chance to improve incredibly my art direction and people's management skills. They gave me the right push to do more and better on every single project.
As Design Director for Oliver Agency, my main responsibility was to create visual routes for advertising campaigns, both ATL and BTL. I've contributed to projects for Google, Starbucks, AXA, KPMG, BMW and Britvic. In this company, I cut my teeth on some of the most challenging briefs, clients and projects. An incredible experience.
As UX/UI lead for Newscron, my main responsibility was to increase the quality of our user experience and increase conversion rates. Newscron ended up being featured in Apple's App Store top 10 best news app in 2013. Working in the beautiful Lugano was a great experience, with a ton of learning.
I earned my gallons as a designer in this icon Italian digital design company. Great people, great projects and great lunch breaks.
