Prior to heading the department of running, my experiences in sports broadcasting has extended to providing voiceover work for UEFA Champions League, scripting for the PL Preview show, experience in digital content logging, working in the tape/archive library dealing with archive footage (and training in the computer systems as needed to operate said process), transcribing as well as various other engagements ranging from pre-production to post. In a hands on capacity, I have acted as studio floor/gallery runner for various Premier League shows as Match Day Live / Football Today etc as well as performed unpaid studio floor managing and invested a great deal of time shadowing the Producers during live shows from the early production stages to on-air broadcasting as part of an IMG initiative training programme. As the current head of the Running department at IMG studios, a great deal of my time is spent partaking in the varies duties as required in an administrative, secretarial as well as management sense in both assisting the producing of many different sport based television productions and organising/running a department – whether this requires providing client care, managing correspondence, phone calls, documentation, diary management, assisting the finance department and administration.
I was required to research for upcoming documentary projects for such broadcasting channels as Sky and C4. Partaking in logging/timecoding and transcribing were few of the various in-house responsibilities I had also. Duties also extended to on location shoots for Channel 4's 'Troy' during which time I assisted the crew and provided my services as a logger as well as stage hand/runner.
I identified key opportunities within various markets for the integration of mobile advertising solutions and innovations for digital expenditure, developed strategies for said implications and presented them to potential clients, integrating my knowledge of online/digital marketing including affiliates and the social media. I have gained experience in various verticals including FMCG, Retail, Finance and Enterprise as well as selling and marketing products in a B2B market.
I provided the technical maintenance for the commentary units/system equipment within the Olympic stadium as well as on hand assistance for the Rights Holding Broadcasters. I located and resolved problems that occurred during the operational phase, monitored audio levels and circuit connections as part of the engineering team for this live broadcast sporting event.
Based both at White City and on location, I was part of the development/production team. I was heavily involved with the BBC’s art department creating/locating props, acted as a runner/assistant on set and as contributor researcher for various in-house projects. Experiences extended to assistance in rehearsals, formatting scripts and researching.
Office based position assisting ongoing productions. I was required to display a necessary awareness of current affairs for up-coming shows through programming research as well as accumulate contributors for documentaries, logging and lend assistance with in-house running duties.
