• I have produced articles and features on Civil Service College news and events. My pieces have ranged from in-depth interviews with high-profile international clients, news articles regarding successful visits from international delegations and detailed profiles of new trainers. • One of my biggest projects has been the complete overhaul of the CSC website where I produced brand new copy for the entire site, ranging from in-depth descriptions of our courses and trainer biographies to copy for the website booking forms and contact pages. • I have also overseen the production of the yearly catalogue, which involved developing new copy, working on the catalogue layout as well as producing interviews and articles to be featured within the brochure. • Day to day tasks have included writing marketing email content (usually five emails a week) to be sent out to our database, writing and maintaining all website content as well as creating news articles to be featured on the website. • I was also responsible for managing the monthly marketing e-mail plan, where I decided on what e-mails should be scheduled for the upcoming weeks and identified the relevant recipients within our database.
• I still take on a number of freelance writing projects whenever possible. Past work has included fashion and beauty articles for The Independent, articles for the fashion website MyShoppingSpy.com, as well as restaurant reviews for the Itchy Guide to Oxford and a number of international magazines. • I currently work with a Marbella based luxury real estate agent to produce weekly blog content. • In my spare time I write a beauty and lifestyle blog which has been steadily growing in popularity since I launched it six months ago, and for which I have received very positive feedback from readers and PR companies with whom I have collaborated.
• I worked on a short-term 6 month contract for this health and wellbeing agency, where my duties included writing and distributing press releases for a variety of health and personal care clients, maintaining targeted press lists and conducting 1:1 media briefings. • I was responsible for writing monthly Facebook content grids and celebrity tweets for a number of clients, as well as putting together page audits of fan interaction and competitor insight reports. • I also helped plan and execute several events including the launch of a celebrity endorsed home fragrance range, a party for a new Durex product launch, an open forum for a children’s nutrition shake and a media workshop for a nationwide network of dermatology clinics.
• I have worked as an Account Executive and copywriter for a number of independent businesses and communications agencies including Flourish PR, ASP-PR, Beattie Communications, Kilpatrick PR, Tim Duncan Communications and Spratley Studios. • Accounts that I have worked on included a number of fashion, design, beauty and lifestyle companies such as a luxury eco-friendly homeware and gift retailers; a Holland Park based luxury boutique; a Dubai based branding company that specialises in luxury companies and a national department store’s beauty department. • My duties included social media content writing and planning, writing and editing press releases for regional distribution, writing company brochures and content for the news sections of clients’ websites and producing accurate and thorough product descriptions for online boutiques. • Other assignments have included writing relevant, insightful and witty blog content and newsletters for a number of companies as well as creating press materials for a number of high-profile media events, from client facing ‘look and feel’ guides to recipe cards and trend predictions for press packs. • I was also responsible for managing the re-launch of a client’s website, which involved overseeing all of the new website images, writing employee biographies and descriptions of completed properties and upcoming projects.
