I have been working as a freelance knitwear developer for Wool and the Gang since February. I am further a gang maker. This role includes writing patterns, garment calculating and collaborating the ‘knit kits’ from the patterns, assembly drawings, illustrator graphs and illustrations as well as pattern grading. I have also been involved in the development of a new collection, swatching and sampling new products, as well as knitting up new pieces for photo shoots. As a gang maker I am involved in hand knitting pieces which are sold as ready-to-wear on the website. I also hand-knit pieces as part of production for brands such as Anthropologie as well as for private orders. Further to this I have aided with the Giles DeaconxWATG London Fashion Week collaboration for the past two seasons, as well as customizing and hand embroidering monogram hats at the LFW WATG stand at Somerset House.
