About me

Louise was born in Bury, Manchester in 1986 and studied a BA in Technical Effects for the Performing Arts and then an MA in Visual Arts: Illustration at the University of the Arts London. Since her BA, Louise has worked as a Technical Effects artist translating desired concepts into realisation through use of sculpture, set pieces and props and has contributed to the creative environment working alongside designers and skilled experts for; Selfridges(2013), LegoLand(2011-14), Hedonism(2012), chelsea flower show-(Jinny Blom for Prince Harry's garden (2013), The London Dungeon(2012), Nike Town(2015), and Axiom-(ultrasound training aids for St Marys Hospital London (2012-13). Her current artwork visually conceptualises the 'human condition' and its relationship with society and the environment, specifically questioning morality and its opposing forces of vice and virtue. She represents her work through pen & ink drawings, monprints and relief/sculptures, but particulary focuses on etching and the printmaking process. Louise currently lives and works in London as a Conceptual Artist and Technical Effects Artist for the creative industry.
