I am Luca Domenico Ponticelli, freelance designer currently based in London. I conceptualize, design and curate visual identities on paper and space. Recent Master graduate in Narrative Environments at Central Saint Martins - London, my approach lies between design thinking and making, part of this generates from my studies of Psychology of Communication and Marketing (BA) and Graphic Design in Rome. Inspired by graphic arts, subcultures and design, I am interested in how these fields reflects our times: How can we create a conversation on social issues through the design of visuals and spaces?

The Quiet Capsule is a permanent prayer and meditation space in Central Saint Martins, London UK. As a result of a competition I have produced the winning design in collaboration with the interior designer Catherine Bella. The Quiet Capsule offers the experience of tranquillity and peace: here people can step away from the tensions of their daily routines. Central Saint Martins is a diverse and multidisciplinary environment that allows for the different religions and spiritualities to thrive. This project rises to the challenge of creating the opportunity for a shared multi-faith space for reflection and prayer. It expresses a broad perception of spirituality in modern life.
