I am Luciano, I am a graphic designer with an Master in Communication Design at Politecnico in Milan.
Just some info about me.
Parallel to my studies in Communication Design, during the last 5 years I worked for a Cultural Association Caravaggio Contemporanea that I helped to establish with some artists in my hometown. For Caravaggio Contemporanea I designed different art show communication and create events and exhibition. Thanks to this experience, over my studies skills, I have learned to work independently, take responsibility and work with strict deadlines. I enjoy working in team, trying to bound all the competence.
Projects
- The Drake EquationAn infographic that explains The Drake Equation for children between 10-14 years. It is an equation developed by Frank Drake, it estimates the potential number of intelligent alien civilisations in our galaxy. To have an idea of the dimension and the space that we are considering, informations about what the Milky Way contains are included.
- Ovunque Potere - Art Exhibition CommunicationFlyer and catalogue designed for the site-specific installation by the cultural association “Caravaggio Contemporanea”. Ovunque Potere aims to illustrate and interpret networks within a city. The catalogue is an A2 poster, which on one side displays all the single pieces that compose the art installation; it is divided horizontally by artist and vertically by theme. The other side contains the critical text which is separated into the themes of the installation.
- EC0.3 - Art Exhibition CatalogueThe EC0.3 (Contemporary Exhibition Number 3) is an ongoing Art Exhibition that takes place in Caravaggio, organised and promoted by the cultural association “Caravaggio Contemporanea”. The Exhibition calls upon 12 artists to exhibit their work in an evocative ancient sacristy. Six different shows that compare two participants every two week, from May to September. The catalogue is an ongoing collection of posters, one for each artist, that are displayed and can be collected by the public after each show. Each poster shows three examples of work displayed by the artist and a critical text from the curator of the exhibition.
- XPLO - An App to explore the cityOur cities today have to deal with changes and alterations tied with the urban and technological innovation. The growing flow of people and the new awareness for sustainable practices, put them at the core of a subject of complex development. The research on smart city, tourism and its digital tools is crucial on the development of an application to observe the city, allowing the tourist to fulfill his need to discover and meet the expectation of his journey. The main function of the app consists on recording the path that the tourist is experiencing in the city through GPS tracking, then notifies the proximity of potentially interesting places, allows to review the maps with his own itinerary and sharing them. This system does not force the user to visit places, but recommend a series of selected suggestion, based on his own desire.
- EC0 - Art Exhibition CommunicationThe EC0 (Contemporary Exhibition) is an Art Exhibition that takes place in Caravaggio (since 2012), it is organised and promoted by the cultural association “Caravaggio Contemporanea”. The following flyers and posters were designed to promote the exhibitions and the events collaborated and organised by “Caravaggio Contemporanea”.
