About me
I am a user interface & visual designer who enjoys exploring new concepts and discovering diverse perspectives. I approach projects with an inquisitive, collaborative approach that uncovers meaningful designs routed in the core purpose of a product. Inquisitive I explore projects mindfully - analysing the journey of a product and its relationship with the user. This curiosity uncovers valuable insights that can than be applied to the framework of an interface and its visual identity. Collaborative I am a strong, positive team player who believes that feedback and collaboration are the key to great design. This requires being able to openly share ideas with a commitment to truly listen to fellow designers and users. Perspective I am always striving to step out of my comfort-zone in order to learn more about our world, to develop empathy for others and to keep on the pulse of new technology. This viewpoint keeps my ideas fresh and relevant.
Projects
  • Valle de Guadalupe - Interactive website & tourism campaign
Valle de Guadalupe - Interactive website & tourism campaignThis project involved the creation of a cohesive tourism campaign that would take the user on a journey into the destination. I chose the Valle de Guadalupe in Mexico, a unique place that I have visited a number of times with friends and family. The project required me to develop a visual identity, responsive website and marketing campaign.

The project included UX research, the creation of the company’s brand identity, the first iteration of the product and UI guidelines.
  • BUZZ - Authentic Branding & Responsive Website
BUZZ - Authentic Branding & Responsive WebsiteCHALLENGE: We were approached to create a responsive website for a new B2B platform that linked tattoo studios and artists. The website would allows tattoo studios and artists to post tattoo guestspots and give and receive peer-to-peer reviews in a safe, vetted members-only environment. Completed client and self-initiated projects through the RED Academy UI & Communication Design program. Including mobile design, responsive web design and branding. RED is a technical school focusing on UI & UX, web development and marketing courses with an alternative learning and teamwork centered structure. The UI & Communication Design program is intensive and structured around individual and client based projects to give students an experience based learning opportunity. Throughout the 12-week program, students engage in the creative process and learn how to apply design theory foundations to create engaging user interfaces for apps and websites. They learn the technical aspects of user interface design while simultaneously building the skills to work on multidisciplinary teams in an agency, start up, or freelance environment.
