About me

Lucy Hardcastle is an interdisciplinary designer and digital artist living in London. Her work focuses on tactility, visual illusions and sensual aesthetics through digital rendered pieces, sculpture, set design and moving image, highlighting tensions betweeen physical and virtual worlds. A recent graduate from the Royal College of Art (MA Information Experience Design), Lucy works freelance as a visual artist and creative director, with clients including Chanel, Alexander Wang and Nike.

  Intangible MatterIntangible Matter, launching on i-D's The Fifth Sense's platform is an exploration of the physical and virtual elements of fragrance, within an immersive digital space consisting of five unique interactive areas.  Enter Experience Placing Lucy's digital world into a WebGL framework provided the opportunity to achieve surreal and unseen experiences related to the senses, physicalising the invisible through interactive visual and sound elements in a truly unique and playful way.  A sonic landscape

  KalostasisI animated and did particle simulations to represent heart flows for the collaboration between Kings College, Cellule Studio and Lucy Hardcastle. I also produced and composed the sound design for the exhibit at the V&A.
