    • Working alongside the Head of Knitwear to design and develop a diverse and inventive range of knitwear that synchronizes with the other design departments. •Responsible for the Womenswear Jersey design department from initial research, fabric sourcing and product design, through to sample development and production. • Working to the Creative Directors vision and ensuring this is maintained through every stage of the design process. • Presenting design development and sketches to the wider team. • Attending and contributing to product strategy and buy meetings, using my knowledge of sales and product to help make decisions. •Leading fit sessions and working alongside garment technician to ensure every garment is perfect for production. •Attending Pitti Filati yarn fair to source new yarns and knit structures for the coming season. • Working alongside Knitwear Consultant to develop innovative new knit structures, creating clear and detailed instructions to send to factories for swatching. • Working with the team to help implement a sustainability program. •Researching for initial concept and colour direction. Creating mood boards and creative direction presentations for the wider team. •Sketching by hand and creating clear, detailed technical flat drawings on Adobe illustrator. •Producing detailed design specifications to send to factories for sampling. •Sourcing yarns and fabrications and working with factories to develop new stitches and jacquards. •Communicating directly with factories and through our Hong Kong office to place orders of sampling yarn/fabrics. •Assisting print designer with creating print repeats and sending out packs to factories. •Creating artworks for stripes and jacquards. •Assisting Accessories and Home-wear departments on the knitted product, creating design specifications and developing samples. •General organization of Knit & Jersey department including archiving yarns, developments and samples. Tracking design samples and creating design range plans for buying/merchandising teams.
