I am a versatile senior events specialist with over 6 years professional events experience in planning and executing both large and smaller scale events. Within my current role as Senior Events Support in the in-house marketing team at one of the largest global real estate companies, I have sole responsibility for the creation, organisation, marketing and execution across 120 of our UK events – covering a wide variety of different types of events from large scale client parties to conferences, with budgets ranging up to £1million. This is a hands-on role which has required creative and innovative ideas and an entrepreneurial spirit – especially as it was a newly created role which I had to develop and evolve.
As a Marketing & Business Development Executive my role focused on coordinating marketing activities for eight of the UK business service lines to ensure they effectively marketed themselves fully, internally and externally, on time and within budget. This role also heavily included planning and executing some of the key corporate and business service line events.
As the first ‘marketeer’ to join the company, it was my responsibility to develop and execute various integrated online and offline marketing campaigns in order to encourage university students to register and complete their searchable profiles. The business imperative was to rapidly build a high quality resource, offering a minimum of 25,000 student profiles, which could then be promoted to a broad range of graduate employers. In less than a year, and on a limited budget, I secured over 30,000 registered students.
