I currently work as a freelance art assistant for Remarkable on the live Channel 4 show ‘Sunday Brunch’. This role requires me to work independently to tight time constraints whilst also working with unpredictable circumstances and using my own creative initiative. I am responsible for the sourcing and making of props whilst also dressing the set during the live show. I also recently worked on the re-dressing of the set, I was responsible for the sourcing and buying of the items needed to dress the set and was also asked to use my own creative initiative to change some areas completely. This role required me to work quickly, efficiently and to a budget. I really enjoyed the responsibility of this role and the end result was well received. Alongside this I also work as a set design assistant, I have gathered experience in various areas from prop sourcing to assisting on various sets from photo shoots and window displays to music videos. Recently I worked as an art director on a short film for Greenpeace, here I was working closely with the producers to realise the clients vision. I was responsible for sourcing and making props in a short time period whilst also working on the shoot and leading an assistant. I have also worked as an Art Director on a short film for YouTube based on mock up gameshow sets.
Working with The Flower Laboratory on a regular basis I have been involved in both the sourcing of props to create botanical sets, working alongside photographers on location whilst also researching, creating posts for Instagram and using InDesign. This varied role has required me to work to quickly, efficiently and professionally.
Working within this role I source and make props as well as dress the set whilst the show is live. The fast paced nature of live TV has required me to work within a tight time frame, under pressure, whilst also adapting to unpredictable circumstances and maintaining the high standards of set design required on the show.

I worked both independently and together with the designer, under pressure and to a strict time frame. I enjoyed the hands on, creative and manual nature of the role.
Working with the client I sourced and made props for a set based around a gameshow, this role allowed me to work independently as well as working as part of a team to create a video for YouTube.
Within this role I worked on a short film for Greenpeace promoting ‘World Meat Free Week’. I worked independently to source and make props within a tight time frame whilst also working on the shoot to ensure the set was dressed and each scene was ready to be filmed. Working closely with the producer I ensured that the client’s vision was achieved.
Within this role I sourced and bought items and re-dressed the new Sunday Brunch set. I worked to a budget and brief, understanding what the client was looking for. I was also asked to use my own creative initiative to change certain areas of the set. I really enjoyed the responsibility of this role and the end result was well received
Within this position I gained experience in both working with an artist and working within a studio environment. I was involved in both the creative and logistical fronts of Richard Galpin’s practice. I provided support to the artist and was relied upon to be both disciplined and flexible to ensure the deadline was met.
