About me
I grew up in the Italian Alps, in a beautiful region next to the Austrian border. In 2010 I left the Dolomites to live and study in Australia. For the past three years I've been based in London, studying product design at Central Saint Martins.
I'm interested in designing experiences and telling stories through objects. I believe in design as a way to shape and add value to how people interact with their surroundings. I also enjoy human centred research, design strategy, as well as exploring the relationship between digital and physical experiences.
Projects
- Downtimer Airport AppAirports are designed around the possibilities of connectivity but very rarely exploit the dynamic exchange of people that characterises them. Driven by the need to improve the airport waiting experience, Downtimer is a digital platform designed to connect passengers and their stories. It allows people to use their downtime at the airport to get inspired by other travellers, share their own stories and be rewarded with discounted flights and free packages.
- Alba floor lightingFounded in 1960 by Ernesto Gismondi, Artemide has always been in the forefront of the lighting industry. For this client project we were asked to explore the relationship between people, light and environment and to respond to the need for flexibility with the minimum consumption of environmental resources. Alba is a versatile floor light system designed around the potential of an aluminium extrusion. Thanks to its flexible design, Alba can be customised to any size and adapted to any environment. By combining the advantages of LED sources with Tunable White technology, Alba also enables numerous variations of white light - mimicking the soothing effect of natural lighting and adjusting colour temperature throughout the day. Silently integrating with the surrounding environment, Alba promotes the emotional associations with domesticity, safety and warmth that make light integral to our everyday lives.
- Picobits Digital StorageMost of our digital lives are scattered across files, folders and generic devices, causing memories to disappear and lose emotional value in our digital clutter. Picobits allows you to collect and share memories in a more tangible and personal way. Combined with the advantages of a digital app, Picobits is a customisable storage device designed to bridge the gap between digital and physical.
