About me
I am a passionate designer with 9 years experience. I have extensive experience in print design and have moved into digital media design in recent years, having embarked on a 2 1/2 year part-time masters in Creative Digital Media. I efficiently manage my time and stay calm while working under pressure; I even would go as far to say I work better under pressure. I have proved myself to be a good communicator with excellent technical skills and the ability to transfer my skills to any brief.
Work history
Graphic Designer
The RTÉ Guide is the top selling magazine in Ireland. It is a weekly
publication which has 50 years of being a household name.
My responsibilities are:
• Designing creative layouts from week to week
• Design of the cover every second week.
• Redesign of the new lifestyle pages so that they are eye catching and
modern but also do not look different to the design of the magazine at present.
• Working closely with the editorial teams to develop and maintain the
magazine’s style
• Maintaining a strong vision for the magazine
• Designing supplements
• Design refreshing for features from week to week
Senior Designer

Award winning Harmonia has a strong stable of consumer magazines - Irish
Tatler, U Magazine, Woman’s Way, Food&Wine, Diarmuid Gavin’s Garden
Designs, Eat out and Auto Ireland - and a significant contract publishing
division for some of the best known companies in Ireland.
As designer:
• I floated on a number of projects. I worked with the art director on
each of the consumer magazines.
• I also worked on most of the contract jobs which varied from the
publications mentioned previously
• I designed any contract jobs, such as brochures, adverts, logos and
direct mail.
