Working as Bleach London’s Community Manager I manage all aspects of customer service, orders, casting, and relationships with their community. I write copy for the website, social media and newsletters, managing Facebook, Twitter and TikTok, overseeing videos going viral with views of 7 million+. Using my skills with Windows, Apple IOS, Google Drive and Microsoft Office I maintain and create spreadsheets, Word documents, PowerPoint Presentations and Slides. I also used Photoshop and InDesign to create content.
I run monthly nights at Laylow, booking artists, poets and performers.
At A Child of The Jago, I produce content and artwork for social media, writing regular newsletters, working as part of the team, liaising with PR, designers and management to ensure we efficiently coordinate our campaigns for the best effect. I also assist with artwork and photography for Wake Up Punk and other projects when needed.
I manage monthly club nights for charity, creating posters, promoting the nights, booking performers and venues. In 2019, we raised over £1,800 for charitable causes.
In 2015 I founded hate zine, a not-for-profit, annual art zine which focuses on social justice. I edit, commission and design each issue on InDesign, alongside producing online content for the website and social media. I manage all aspects of printing, distribution and press, including events, fundraisers and workshops. Hate focuses on social and political issues, with past themes covering mental health, the environment, sex, gender, love and death.
I wrote successful sales copy for The Independent, Telegraph and TechAdvisor, adapting my tone of voice for different sites. I also conducted market research, wrote advertorials and executed successful campaigns.
The Golborne Gallery was a commercial gallery situated in West London specialising in contemporary art. I assisted the curator, liaised with artists, clients and press, writing press releases and online content, proofreading and organising launch events.
The John Kobal Foundation is a charitable organisation with an extensive collection of original Hollywood portraits. My role included handling delicate photographs, data entry and overseeing the archiving of the entire 6000+ collection. I demonstrated my ability to organise and archive both self-managing without supervision and as part of a team.
I planned and led summer workshops on magazine publishing and politics at Central Saint Martins, guiding students through the process of publishing a magazine, introducing them to politics, helping them to formulate ideas.
