About me
Hey, I’m Luke and I grew up in the realm of Huntingdonshire, and have an colossal love for movies, music and magic by design. Solving problems by creating considered solutions is what I strive to do through my work. I believe design has to come through the end of a pencil, not the end of a cursor, as the most wonderful of outcomes always has a touch of the handmade to it. Whether that be from the sketching stage to even the final outcome. I am hard-working, dedicated to researching, finding and testing to always get the most out of an idea, pushing it as far as it will go and also always open to experiment with new media in my work as you can’t approach a brief with so many closed doors.

  • The Tale of the Two-Headed Monster
The Tale of the Two-Headed MonsterIn The Tale of the Two-Headed Monster, I created a double-sided concertina book that contains a satirical look at how young adults view Theresa May and the whole Brexit situation, representing more than one side to May. On one hand, a sympathetic, frail lady and on the other a horrible, wrong-doing hag which was inspired by interviews with my target audience. The inspiration of old fairy tales books is seen within the outcome itself. From the golden foil like cover on the packaging, to the intr
  • Pick Me Up
Pick Me UpPick me up, is a non-emergency transport service, helped by many volunteer drivers to get those in need to hospital appointments who might have a problem getting there anyway, through lack of reliable transport. I had to create a brand that people can respond to, showing off what Pick me up stands for. The main values of Pick Me Up Pick me up are ‘bringing people together for better’ and also ‘pushing genuine human connection’, and these values are seen in all the promotional material. Shown off
  • Accept cookies*
Accept cookies*Accept cookies*, is an online tool aimed at young adults to help learn about third party cookies and their presence on popular websites. The visuals themselves that were inspired by military spy operation imagery such as night vision and undercover copy, work very well in terms of the website and also in terms of the target audience. Urging the user to dig deeper and become their own spy of sorts and uncover the truth that was hidden before and now, through the use of the website and its visuall
  • Peabody Pods – YCN Student Award
Peabody Pods – YCN Student AwardThe idea behind Peabody Pods, is the community around the Peabody centre spaces. To create a sub-brand to celebrate the many cultures coming together in one place, to grow and learn collectively. To represent this, I created a pattern out of the Peabody logo, to apply across the sub-brand. The unity is represented in the circularity of the pattern, with the many colours inspired by London towns/places such as Brixton and Brick Lane, seen in their street art and other visuals such as street marke
  • Blackboard Yours
Blackboard YoursThe ‘Alone Together’ RSA brief contained a challenge to create a solution that aimed to overcome loneliness in anyway. My solution was Blackboard Yours; a social media add-on to the existing ‘Blackboard Learn’ used by the University of Lincoln. This allows students to contact, talk to and get to know their future house mates before the start of their first day at university, relieving anxiety, stress and potential loneliness.
  • A Clockwork Orange – Title Sequence
A Clockwork Orange – Title SequenceWith this brief, me and two other people had to recreate an opening sequence of any movie we wanted. My group and I chose to create an opening sequence for the 1971 Stanley Kubrick film, A Clockwork Orange as the film did not really have an opening credit sequence.
