About me
I do my best to tell stories through words and films. That might mean producing a crazy launch video for a new mobile phone, whittling some copy for a website, or making a short film that just tickles my fancy. In reality, much of the time, it means ghost-writing articles or recording talking head interviews. Before going solo, I worked for years in PR and marketing agencies, so I'm used to helping brands to shape stories that work for them. But I'm also no stranger to the demands that agencies and marketers face, from budgets to timeframes to 'personalities'. Whatever the situation, my aim is to get good work done - on time, on budget. Given my agency background, I can also help with marketing consultancy and creative project management. But if you're reading this then I'm guessing you're probably all set on that front. So ignore this last bit - have a look at some of my projects below instead.
Projects
  • Launching a phone (with a jetpack and scooter stunts)
Launching a phone (with a jetpack and scooter stunts)Marlin PR had an interesting idea for launching a new smartphone in the UK. What if we asked a friend of theirs (the founder and chief test pilot of a jet suit company) to take part in a race? Working with Marlin, I produced, directed and edited a mini film that showed the 'race' between the jet suit and a world freestyle scooter champion - while showing off the phone's impressive photo and video capabilities.
  • Sharing Oracle's stories
Sharing Oracle's storiesOracle's technology is used by thousands of companies to do amazing things. And the Your Tomorrow, Today magazine provides an online hub for some of the best of these stories - a place where current (and potential) customers can learn more and be inspired. My job is to turn corporate case studies into compelling, inspiring reading.
  • Introducing Entura (and its personality)
Introducing Entura (and its personality)The world of anti-piracy can be staid and highly corporate. Entura's young and energetic team are anything but - and clients and colleagues love this. The management team wanted to create an introductory video that would help website visitors understand what it's like to work at the company. And while doing that, I also wanted to share a glimpse of some of the personalities in the office.
