I’m a mid-weight copywriter with four years' experience working in-house luxury fashion. Now forging a path agency side.
I was part of a creative team working predominantly on the Mars Wrigley account. I had the opportunity to ideate shopper campaigns for several confectionary brands under the MWC umbrella, including Skittles, Wrigley's Extra and Celebrations.
I was the Creative Team’s lead copywriter responsible for in-store and digital brand communications. It was my duty to maintain Ted’s core handwriting globally, while developing new tone of voice, season by season. From October 2016 I became acting Senior Copywriter with final sign-off responsibility. The breadth of my current role encompasses in-store comms (window creative, POS), straplines, CRM, digital, e-commerce, editorial and original content, marketing collateral, press, social media, packaging, PDs and writing for design.
I joined this mobile shopping tech start-up after completing a 3-month internship writing features for the company blog and managing the social media channels. Once employed I became responsible for the planning and execution of all marketing email campaigns, in addition to my existing duties.
Working across Adobe Creative Suite, I created mostly typographic art and branding for the owner’s personalised gift website and retail space. I had the opportunity to shadow the Studio Director during client meetings and pitch artwork.
My degree combined practical screenwriting with the academic study of film and offered a range of transferable skills important to other roles within the wider film industry and other sectors. At its core was the study of screenwriting as a craft and development of the creative skills and knowledge of film needed to write screenplays that get commissioned.
