  • have recently completed an Events Marketing internship at the head offices of Cancer Research UK, one of the largest registered charities in the country. Responsible for driving the promotion of 30 ‘Race for Life’ fundraising events across all London regions in 2016, my role involved a wide variety of tasks including: -? Contacting press offices, local radio stations and community groups to deliver promotional material, organise interviews and increase audience participation and volunteer numbers in specific areas -? Working alongside the logistics team to distribute thousands of promotional items to each UK region from the main warehouse -? Attending satellite/campaign launches for events in each region -? Engaging with marketing and communications by creating and posting content for a company affiliated Twitter account (@CRUKEventsLDN) to increase the number of followers -? Liaising with large organisations across London to secure press and online advertisement space and newsletter mentions ?- Booking entertainment for promotional launches and scouting new areas to secure locations for profile-raising events linked to on-going campaigns -? Communicating with various local authorities regarding upcoming events

  • Working as a student brand manager leading a promotional team at Liverpool University freshers’ fair events to promote the band and encourage students to sign up to the service. I ensured users engaged with the brand via social media, for example Facebook and Twitter, and promoted free rewards for use of online platforms.
