About me
The force is strong with eight years pre-press knowledge. I get on well with someone who is retired from the marketing and advertising rat race, who used to work for the likes of Saatchi and Saatchi. He trained me well and strengthened my typography skill set, which has improved my layout experience ten-fold to create eye-catching material. In a nutshell, I am keen to take on design related tasks and projects within my comfort zone, however am no stranger to tackle a challenge. Doing so will improve certain areas and helps me grow my skill set day by day. Please get in contact to receive a quote for anything from corporate branding, logo design, marketing material, POS, exhibition material, brochures, booklets, video editing, SFX/LX engineering and web design.
Projects
  • stride
strideThis project changed the way I look at corporate branding. The logo is big, subtly imposing and sends a message, which is what the client loved about it. The world map imposed within the foot sends out a welcoming, global effect. The brief was to give off a clean, corporate look throughout their campaign. A good use of white space used within the brochure helped the overall professionalism, with a gloss cover as an added touch.
  • garbage gammer
garbage gammerAs an avid cigar fan, I decided to embark on designing my own cigar band for the portfolio to show off my skill-set. Here, I had used the vector process in Illustrator and clipping mask utilities in Photoshop to get that sharp, edgy contrast on the background of the band. The upper case ‘G’ and the lower case ‘g’ are initials to my grandfathers nickname in the armed forces - he was known as Garbage Gammer!
  • platform one
platform oneMy father needed a logo for his new business venture. He stated the design needed to be like a train station platform sign, similar to the old enamel ones. I got to work in Illustrator and came up with a couple of ideas with different colour schemes. Royal blue was the chosen colour as we wanted the traditional look of the rail sign. The logo has been used on the Mercedes Sprinter shown here, including other vehicle merchandise like the rear window sticker and the tax disc holder.
