Developed, implemented and sold in disruptive brand strategies for Rentalcars.com and MBNA, touching everything from communications to brand identity look and feel. ATL campaigns for both brands have recently been shortlisted at the Prolific North awards for Broadcasting Commercial 2016 [winner to be announced 28th April, 2016] Day-to-day planner looking after the MBNA, Rentalcars.com and Staffordshire University accounts, which require the overseeing the strategic development of all brand and campaign activity, making sure everything delivers towards each brand’s vision. Work on a variety of diverse briefs for clients which have honed my strategic thinking. Such projects include writing a strategy for Pizza Hut’s staff uniforms, creating an internal awards scheme for Wilko and looking at how MBNA should strategically position themselves alongside their affinity partners.
Operated as lead planner on the successful pitch for the MBNA account; this has gone on to become the largest account in the agency. Duties included brain storming brand territories to present to client, writing and presenting the pitch presentation and developing a process document for how we would develop the brand strategy. Worked in conjunction with the Disruption Director in running the day-to-day strategic requirements on the Sofaworks, Rentalcars.com, Imperial Leather, Westland, Smyths Toys and Staffordshire University accounts. Key responsibilities centered around developing communication strategies and providing in-depth thinking and insights for both the client and creative teams. Helped the agency win the Pizza Hut Restaurants account, playing a key role in coordinating and developing both qualitative and quantitative research strategies.
Only junior member of staff involved in the successful strategy pitch for the global Nokia media buying account and was involved in presentation to client. Account went on to become the biggest account within the company. Developed my initial role researching and providing in-depth analytical reports for colleagues and key clients to one which included contributing to creative and media campaign strategies, working across clients such as Amazon, John Lewis and The Economist. In charge of creating content pieces for the business, including writing two whitepapers on the state of the mobile industries in Africa and China. Created and wrote both weekly and monthly newsletters for clients in order to keep them abreast of latest trends in mobile.
