About me
Luke O'Neill is an Industrial Designer based in London. I have recently graduated from Brunel University with a 2:1 in Product Design (BSc). Over the past four years of studying at the top design university in the UK, I have acquired vital skills that have helped me excel in product design. During my internship period, I worked for; Atlantic Design - a train design company based in London, where my 3D modelling and rendering skills really accelerated, and Flex Design - a top design consultancy based in Delft, Netherlands, where I had the opportunity to see and lead the process of bringing a product from ideation to manufacture. Both of these internships and the completion of my course, have set me up with the expertise and understanding of the quality of work which is expected in the product design industry, ensuring that projects are kept on time without affecting the quality of the work. If you would like more detail about my previous experiences please look at my curriculum vitae.

I worked at Flex Design a product design consultancy based in Delft, Netherlands, considered to be in the top five design agencies in Europe. I worked on a variety of projects during my placement from barbecues to bearing heaters. I was solely in charge of my own project, which was to develop an innovative, portable housing unit for sports tracking devices. My solution was brought to the market after three months. Some duties included: - Group brainstorming sessions and directing the design process on a specific path. - Conversing with the client and ensuring that the clients view of the final product is understood. - Liaising with manufacturing companies about how the design can be streamlined to reduce cost.
