Sarabande: The Lee Alexander McQueen Foundation WebsiteSarabande, also known as the ‘Lee Alexander McQueen foundation’ was set up after the tragic death of Lee Alexander McQueen. Its main premise is to benefit those in the creative industries struggling to find affordable office / studio space in the city of London. The foundation also offers a scholarship program to those looking to further thier creative education but may not have the funds to proceed. The redesign was prompted after the patrons of the charity recognised the importance of reflect
  • Wingman® App
Wingman® AppWingman is a legacy client, founded in 2015 – a small idea that has flourished into a fully funded startup with great traction and growth. I currently run and manage all aspects of product and development and creative direction, as well as answer to key stakeholders in the business, and provide top level strategic advice. The founder of the business approached me with a simple idea, an app that allows you to introduce your single friends to a potential match, a ‘matchmaking app’. Within a year
  • Vernon Francois® Website
Vernon Francois® WebsiteVernon approached me back in 2015 with the idea to create a hair care range, specifically to tackle the needs of the ‘textured hair’ market. Working closely with Vernon meant I got to keep the essence of what was essentially his creative vision, and execute this in a way that translated well within the eCommerce and digital space. UX & UI were important factors, and proved a challenge as Vernon is heavily dyslexic. Visual communication was key and the marriage of strong imagery, typography and

  • Realine Beauty
Realine BeautyRealine Beauty approached me with a brief to redesign and rebrand their existing product of ‘needle free’ cosmetic solutions in the form of beauty patches. The brief was to tackle the ‘cosmetic’ position of the brand, and redefine consumers to associate the brand with a more clinical/ clean and pharmaceutical feel. Without making it look too ‘unapproachable’. My job was to make the founder aware of the particular issues of her current brand position, and the effects caused on the target demogra
  • Wholesam Foodtruck
Wholesam FoodtruckThe founders of WholeSam approached me with an idea to create a food truck that served healthy but satisfying food. Whilst conducting preliminary research, we were shocked to find there was not a larger variety of healthy food truck options that existed in the Los Angeles city distict. If they did, they were not filling or satisfying options that served both veggie and meat options. Together with the founders, we managed to translate her ideas into a feasible identity that grabbed the attention

  • Mural - Bupa
Mural - BupaFollowing on from the successful multi-channel brand campaign ‘Help You Find Healthy’ in 2012, in September we launched our latest brand campaign for Bupa, ‘Our focus is your health’. The campaign highlights that Bupa – unlike other insurers – is focused on healthcare and, as a company with no shareholders, does everything in the best interests of its customers. The campaign features children painting a picture of their ideal healthcare company and vision of healthcare, illustrating Bupa’s wide range of services on offer. We also produced online banners, press and a landing page for the campaign, which can be viewed at ourfocus.bupa.co.uk

Creative Director & Founding Team MemberWingman® App
    London, United KingdomFull Time
I am responsible for the full creative, design management and design execution of Wingman. From conceptual designs, UI / UX flows, product development, campaign asset management, advertising and PR design output, social networking and brand guardian. I am still actively and physically designing the product and collaterals ‑‑ creating design mockups in response to user data and analytics. I persistently aim to improve retention, usability and user experience by constantly adapting and improving our product. I manage our team internally, encouraging them to push Wingman to its full potential, mentoring junior and mid weight designers to utilise their skills and maximise Wingman’s brand potential, encouraging them to try new UX and UI techniques, leading by example showing fully designed mockups in SKETCH / Photoshop. As well as working closely with our development team in sprints, and delivering considered design responses that are both time sensitive, and mindful of developmental implementation. I report directly to other senior management within the business, about both our design and growth strategy within Wingman. I work closely with our business development teams to ensure we share the same goals and work as a team to deliver results. Being a startup – wearing multiple hats comes as part of the territory, and I’m always willing to push myself and tackle challenges that arise. Having a background in managing a design studio has helped with legal compliance, and understanding the value of strong communication between our corporate/ finance teams and creative.

    FounderSpringate Design Consultancy
    London, United KingdomFull Time
After leaving the advertising world, I made the decision to gain a better understanding of both business and startup tech culture. SDC was my venture into the start up world, and has been a challenging, yet rewarding experience. SDC started out as a design consultancy, working alongside start-up tech/ product founders and advising on the technical feasibility, and design ramifications on both their product and overall vision. A production element was involved purely on app design, eCommerce, UX and brand. But being effectively a sole design production and consultancy house had it’s limits. Successfully funded in mid 2015, I managed to grow SDC by hiring an in house design team – that helped with the general output of clients. Knowing our strengths, we focused primarily on start up design incubation. Founders would come to us with a vision – and we would help both conceptualise and produce their product to an excellent standard, whilst sharing our network of trusted developers, business development, social, SEO and VC contacts. Collaborating with both developers and designers, we would focus primarily on the quality of the brand and the core values of design as a leading thought to investor decks, brand tone of voice, eCommerce, UX and UI implementation. Our clients ranged from FMCG, tech, fashion, dating, fine arts, food & drink and cosmetics. I have gained a vast amount of knowledge and learnt an incredible amount, that I believe has shaped me into an individual with a unique set of skills.
