For the last 20 years I’ve worked as an advertising creative and copywriter in many of London’s top agencies. I’ve concepted ground breaking ads, won awards, campaigned to get more women into creative departments, and last year I was one of Campaign's ‘Women to Watch’. To create truly powerful ads and write intuitive, insightful copy I believe it helps to have a fair bit of life experience and I’ve got shed loads. Being born with a large port wine stain over the right side of my face meant I learnt early on how effective a smile can be, no matter how wonky. I also learned that my unusual appearance was a great way of weeding out the wankers. So, I lifted my head high and looked the world in the eye. I became a successful set-designer and then a successful advertising creative. I danced on podiums in Japan and bathed with elephants in Nepal. I jumped out of a plane at 13,000 feet and climbed to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro. I ran around London Zoo in my birthday suit and walked the catwalk in rubber. I proposed to my husband, went through several rounds of IVF to make my gorgeous little girl and kicked the shite out of breast cancer. So, if you want a woman of the world to add a little sparkle to your team, someone who can’t resist a challenge, who gets excited about new possibilities, who really loves writing and who smiles, probably a little too much, get in touch.
