- Voorlinden Museum & GardensEditorial design September 2017 a new museum for modern and contemporary art arises in the lush nature of Wassenaar, The Netherlands. Hosted within modernist achitecture, an impressive private collection of 7000+ masterpieces finally gets the home it deserves. As an introduction I designed this attached publication for national newspaper NRC, working closely with Wim Pijbes (formerly know for being the general director of the Rijks Museum), who did all editory work. I also made the portrait of Dutch landscape architect Piet Oudolf.
- Poetry International FestivalReasons to be cheerful Concept & book design for the annual anthology accompanying the festival. I challenged myself by asking the people from Poetry International to hunt down all original handwritten poems from this year's selection. The original handwriting would add an extra layer, make it more personal and gave insight into each of the poets' character. The publication itself was already bilingual, with translations in Dutch and English. Some spreads would end up with four versions of the same poem. The end result was like a scrapbook consisting of scribbled writings, typewriter notes and found photographs.
