About me
Manos is a London-based filmmaker and editor. He grew up in Greece and South Africa before finally settling back to his hometown in Limassol, Cyprus. At a very tender age he watched The Empire Strikes Back and at that very moment he decided that he was either going to be a Jedi or a filmmaker. He settled for the latter, and not because of luck of effort to master the Force. He has an MA in Filmmaking from the London Film School. He graduated in 2014, with a merit in writing and directing. His graduation film, ‘Dilip’s Castle’, has screened at the London Short Film Festival, Short Waves Film Festival, East End Film Festival and British Shorts Berlin 2017. It was shortlisted for Saatchi & Saatchi New Directors Showcase. While in LFS he directed a short documentary called ‘Seeing the Funny Side’. It’s an intimate portrait of a stand up comedian who happens to be just 3’6” tall and it received an official selection in Soho Rushes '13. Since graduating he has been working as a freelance self-shooting director and editor. He has made fashion films, music videos, music promos and short documentary promos for a variety of clients like Vogue, Numero Tokyo, Deezer, Year Here and The Telegraph. He is an Avid Media Composer certified editor. He is editing his first feature, ‘Cranley Gardens’ in late 2018. He is also the Senior Editing Lecturer at LFS. He is developing his next short film and his first feature film. He is still trying to use the Force.
