Kensington College of Business is an independent not for profit college. Was brought in by a consultant to help on a small project. As the marketing coordinator I helped put together a new website (using WordPress) to make the content easier for students to find and to liaise with the social media company to put out posts about the college’s degrees and various other programmes and courses. The new website was created to change the perception of the brand, to make a more serious and efficient impression to attract students.

As the marketing assistant at K2 Partnering Solutions, I helped the marketing manager with various aspects of the company’s marketing function. On a monthly basis I would collect data relating to traffic on our website and our social media platforms, as well as our internal social platform called K2 Konnect. Regularly tweeted about general tech news updates specific to our company. When on LinkedIn or Twitter I would check my feed to see whether there were any misuses of our logo for example stretching the logo, employees using the incorrect logo etc. When presentations where asked for I would need to make sure that they followed our brand guidelines to make ensure the logo was in the correct place and that the colour scheme was correct. Created data extensions and marketing emails which were sent to our consultants, using the Salesforce Marketing Cloud. When necessary organised the procurement of branded products ensuring they were exactly what was required and that the products were delivered on time. Used WordPress to create various pages for our website and updated the information regarding the Salesforce courses on a weekly basis. Additionally, I had training in coding basic CSS and HTML, as well as Photoshop and InDesign whilst working at K2. Researched and wrote weekly blogs on the company website generally about new technology trends or highlighting top achieving individuals in the company.

The Advanced Marketing Research Report involved conducting Market Research into The Dangers of Plastic Water Bottles to Consumers’ Health and the Environment. I created an email survey to find out consumer awareness, conducted the survey, analysed the data received and wrote a final report comparing my expectations with the actual results obtained.
