    I was working with a team in the Investment Centre of FAO studying the sustainability of benefits of development interventions. This entails, among other tasks: (i) assessing the approaches, experiences and lessons in promoting sustainability across numerous organisations including the African Development Bank, Asian Development Bank, Food and Agriculture Organisation, Inter-American Development Bank, International Fund for Agricultural Development, the World Bank and the World Food Programme; (ii) analysing independent and self-evaluation ratings of development projects to explore sustainability performance and to assess if there is any relationship between sustainability and other indicators of performance (e.g., effectiveness); iii) carrying an in-depth desk review to identify the proximate causes of good or less good performance in IFAD operations in promoting sustainability and (iv) designing and implementing an electronic survey to collect the perspectives of key partners on the proximate causes of good or less good sustainability. Responsible from drafting some sections of an Issues Paper on the subject.
