  • I undertook research surveying the varied immigration and settlement experiences of Latinos in the United States. The research included examination of cultural practices, politics, organization, economic systems, memoir, music, gender, identity, race, religion and education to develop a deeper understanding of the inter-cultural relationships between Latinos, Latinos and White America and Latinos and Black America and how these relationships shifted over time. The culmination of this research resulted in curriculum development for interdisciplinary inclusion of Latino history and literature in postsecondary education.
