As a sales & events Coordinator, my role involves handling all incoming event and booking enquiries, generating sales and assisting the Sales and Events Manager in meeting revenue targets, pro-actively selling and up-selling food, drink and activity packages. Effectively and professionally communicating with all levels of the team, creating detailed runsheets, pre-orders and flagging any challenges as early as possible. I am also responsible for project managing special events and showcases, including a successful Christmas showcase in August. Another key element of my role is managing the venue's social media accounts, especially Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, engaging with the local community, local companies and tourists. I have also been expanding the existing database of venue contacts, attending networking events, introducing new corporate contacts to the venue.
