Intern for Upper Street Events, working on the Cycle Show. Updated content on the Cycle Show website, proofed marketing material and the show guide, called pre-registration contacts and supported with exhibitor and visitor queries.
Assisted in the execution of a two-day Indian wedding at the Waldorf Hilton Hotel London and the Sheraton Grand London Park Lane Hotel for two weeks. Helped to complete decorations for the ceremonies, and also researched and purchased last-minute decorations. Worked during the events, moving furniture and decorations under time pressures and ensured the events ran smoothly on the day.
Very valuable summer spent working as a paid intern at TT Tents. Was entrusted to create mood boards for clients, to find furniture, decoration and lighting suitable for the event and retrieve quotations. Made many marketing calls to potential clients. This experience helped to improve my Microsoft word and excel skills.
Represented the University of Winchester during events for prospective students and work with the Student Recruitment Team marketing the University. Jobs include communicating University experiences to students and parents, taking groups on campus tours, answering any questions about the University or otherwise and giving Student Life Talks in front of a group of people explaining the student life in Winchester.
