Strategy Director, MediaComLondon, United Kingdom
About me
I am currently a Marketing Communications Strategist at MediaCom, a top UK media planning and buying agency, specialising in Retail and FMCG clients. Working in the Challenge And Inspiration Department (CID), my primary role is to work with planning teams and departments to develop effective communications strategies and ideas that are innovative, market-leading, and award winning. Using strong insight, a clear strategic story, and great ideas to bring strategies to life and execute innovative cross platform communications solutions that effectively target customers, drive sales, and differentiate brands in the new digital age. I hold an Executive MBA in Innovation Strategy from Cass Business School in London and Diplomas in Strategic Marketing (CIM) and Digital Marketing (IDM). I have been recognised on 2017 EMpower Top 30 Future Leaders List presented by the Financial Times. As a side project, I paint. I use art as a platform to express my culture and diversity beliefs. In my spare time I am an exhibiting artist who has created a brand of contemporary acrylic paintings and limited edition prints called ‘Colourful People’. The paintings are vibrant portraits of characters that represent the unity of diverse thought in today’s multi-cultural Britain. The individual portraits have been named to carry a message; 'Believe', 'Love', 'Exhale', 'Vex' express the frustrations and aspirations of the diverse world we live in. My work is sold online and in cultural and ethnic shops in South London.

Championing Diversity: this Black History Month, meet 100 creatives inspiring changeWe asked 11 of our creative heroes to each nominate 10 leading black change makers and creators who are shaping the current climate with raw talent, big ideas and crazy hard work. There is still a huge disparity of BAME individuals in the creative industry. Currently only 13% of the creative industry workforce identify as coming from Black and Minority Ethnic backgrounds. In addition, only 8% of senior positions have BAME representation. Spotlighting this subject is as important as ever. True d
