About me
I have extensive multi-industry experience in games, advertising and web development. From start ups and multinationals to working freelance, I have served key roles in project management, creative, production and client-servicing. Excellent communication skills (written and spoken) are a core asset. As are organisational abilities which include managing medium to small teams - typically composed of artists, programmers, musicians and designers - both in-house and remotely.
Regarding games and animation - I have worked as QA lead, game designer, audio engineer, game producer as well as modeller, animator, set designer, editor, VFX artist and director. This vertical experience gives me a practical knowledge of the pipelines involved and an understanding of the different facets and dependencies inherent in the development process.
With reference to advertising - as a copywriter I am responsible for developing concepts and campaigns (for TV, Web, Press & Radio) and presenting them to clients. Working freelance, I necessarily take on the additional role of client-servicing, becoming involved in agency briefings and strategy meetings and incorporating these in the end creative. I won two local industry awards as a copywriter.
In my spare time I am learning C# for Unity (Game Engine) in order to eventually build my own games and apps. I'm also actively researching the fields of VR and AR as I believe they have the potential to deliver unique interactive experiences for a variety of industries. Otherwise I'm building fantastical castle/playgrounds for my most important (and demanding) client - my 3 year old daughter.
