I am firstly a moving image designer and secondly a fashion filmmaker.
I go by the name of Monlit Films which is play on the word monolith, the actual company name is Lightspacetime.
From the outset I have had the desire for films to be free of motion graphics and 3D/CGI or that should at least be kept to a minimum only because the brands I work for don’t do mass production, they’re not commercial, their fashion is handmade and is about the atelier and the natural processes involved in creation of garments and accessories.
My back ground is animation but have always loved fashion, I have B. A degree Electronic media and I started 5yrs ago making fashion film.
I started collaborating and working with these wonderful and beautiful niche brands, as they spoke to me in a unique way, realising an inhibited preference for avantgarde fashion and style.
But of course, like everyone else I’m happy to work with anyone, anytime, anywhere.
My style can be experimental, it is a colour pallet of subtle tones bordering on film noir if the client will allow and to always convey an essence of luxury and beauty.
