With wide eyed dreams of being a war correspondent after studying Journalism at Centennial College in Toronto, I naturally entered the deep trenches of international media in London as a trade journalist – not quite the same, but just as ruthless, tactical and ever-changing. After gaining experience managing editorial teams, commissioning content and developing content strategies for multiple platforms, I decided I needed a new challenge and entered the media agency world. My transition to agency side was a natural one given my astute understanding of the inner workings of media, the key players within it and a propensity to network perhaps a little too much – but, who doesn't love to schmooze?!?
