About me
My creative approach is always research- and user-centered: I ask questions, I listen and take notes, and I focus on understanding the issue and the audience’s needs. I then let whatever is discovered drive the design process. For me, design is as much a social science as an applied art. It’s a method for transforming chaos into graceful alignment by making intentions clear and content emotionally resonant. I am from San Francisco, California where I spent my childhood doing ballet, going to double features at the Castro and rollerskating in Golden Gate Park. I am passionate about branding and systems, and have designed and managed projects and people for innovative companies in tech, publishing, food, entertainment and fashion in the U.S. and France. I studied romance languages at UC Berkeley, printmaking at SF Art Institute and hold a B.S. in Graphic Design with honors from San Jose State University.
Projects

MCM PRINTA playful, geometric print developed for Misha & Puff’s Summer 2022 Children’s collection.
  • PLANT-BASED PEOPLE
PLANT-BASED PEOPLEA work in progress that twists famous phrases into humorous calls to veggie action! Inspired by the Covid-19 quarantine which had me missing the printmaking studio *and* dreaming of the twice-a-week local marché in my Paris neighborhood.
  • LA BISE aka HOT LIPS
LA BISE aka HOT LIPS A fun experiment with day-glo colors using a Risograph, a high-volume copying technique from 1980’s Japan. Big in Japan, tonight! Big in Japan, be tight! Limited edition run of prints available here: https://bit.ly/3gnzNXY
  • MISHA & PUFF NEIGHBORHOOD COLORING PAPER
MISHA & PUFF NEIGHBORHOOD COLORING PAPERA downloadable activity for children stuck indoors during Covid-19 quarantine. Illustration is inspired by drawings submitted by kids around the world—there are fun little details to color as well as open areas for welcoming additions: more houses, a playground, a favorite pet or a flower. More about the design process on the M&P Journal: https://bit.ly/2WdG2Gd
  • UN CALL FOR ENTRIES: COVID-19 SOCIAL DISTANCING POSTERS
UN CALL FOR ENTRIES: COVID-19 SOCIAL DISTANCING POSTERSInspired by the 80s, these three submissions raise awareness about Social Distancing by exhorting you to get on the dance floor. Dance, boogie or skank but do it safely and at a safe distance.
