  • Soane Britain designs and manufactures furniture, upholstery, lighting, fabrics and wallpapers in British workshops that excel in traditional craft such as forged iron, precision engineering and saddlery. In July 2015 I was promoted from Production Assistant to Production Manager. My new duties included: - To ensure that all Soane UK Trade, Retail, EU and RoW orders are delivered on time and on budget to the required specifications. - Manage production and fulfilment of all Soane orders and project work so that they are delivered on time, to the required specification and to achieve gross margin requirements, in accordance with set KPIs. - Build lasting relationships with the UK Trade Sales Managers, Showroom Manger and European / Row Sales Managers to promote Soane craftsmanship and educate on production techniques. - Negotiate with workshops to meet or exceed gross margin requirements. - Receive custom, bespoke and new design briefs; determine best method of manufacture, provide a cost price analysis and see any resulting orders through to fulfilment. - Amend production drawings on AutoCad and work with draftsmen to provide bespoke drawings for the sales team and workshops. - Ensure that Soane orders are photographed and catalogued and create contact sheets in InDesign - Log any ongoing quality or production issues and find solutions with the workshop. - Seek out new suppliers and workshops, monitoring workshop capabilities and performance. - Sole management of Soane Blacksmiths; maintaining full schedule of works, developing new prototypes and finishes and ordering the necessary components relating to the Forged collection. - Management of all product new designs and prototypes, liaising with workshops to produce samples from drawings and creating schedules for product launches. - Regular workshop visits to build relationships and monitor production techniques and capacity requirements.

  • Whilst looking for a permanent position, I worked for QuickStep PR firm who specialise in the Design, Interiors and Lifestyle sector. - Worked with an Interior design based PR company, increasing knowledge of designers, client accounts and furniture production. - Achieved high quality, targeted editorial coverage for clients in the design industry. - Worked on press releases and copy calls for kitchen and furniture magazines such as Elle Decoration, Essential Kitchen and Bathrooms and World of Interiors. - Created a relationship between high end interior designers and their public representation. - Worked to meet deadlines in a fast paced environment whilst maintaining a high standard of writing. - Used InDesign to create client documents and articles. - Market research. - Represented renowned companies at design shows and events.

  • After having been at Exhibition Continues Ltd for just under a year I was promoted from Production Room Assistant to Production Room Manager. In November 2014 Exhibition Continues announced they were going into liquidation. - Managed and was responsible for interns and production assistants. - Maintaining a successful working relationship with the workshop. - Maintained and created company Terms and Conditions and Supplier Agreements. - Responsible for all Plinth and Vinyl sales and marketing, from taking the initial enquiry through to production and delivery. - Provided support to and worked alongside the Project Managers and Directors within the arts organization. - Managed areas of production including fabricating a window display for Hermes on New Bond Street. - Managed the administration of all product orders & hires and all online sales enquiries. - Created protocols and manuals for both plinth and vinyl production and marketing. - Created and printed vinyl. From the initial design using Illustrator to production and installations. - Updated and maintained the company's digital presence. - Researched and created sales strategies. - Created and maintained a stock inventory. - Maintained a system of quality control and seeing this through for all orders and returns. - Worked alongside the Studio Manager administering job sheets for bespoke fabrications. - Coordinated all studio production and managed all production timetables.
