About me
I am a Product Design Engineer from Lichfield, Staffordshire. I am passionate about sustainable design and designing to improve the lives of others. I see myself as an outgoing and confident person with great people skills, I love to work in a team environment and enjoy taking an active role in helping others as well as in leadership. I have been studying Product Design Engineering at Liverpool John Moores University since 2015 and have since been the course representative for my year as well as an active member of the faculty student body. From May 2017 to May 2018 I worked as a Product Development Intern at The Walt Disney Company in London. I am currently in my final year of university and am looking for a graduate roll starting in 2019.
Projects
  • Designing in Virtual Reality
Designing in Virtual RealityI began designing with VR in February 2018. It has given me the ability to create 3D models in a virtual space with intuitive tools, designed to allow the creator to play and experiment in a more conceptual way than traditional modelling software. Using the program Gravity Sketch coupled with an Oculus Rift headset, the process of idea generation is akin to sketching.
  • Object of Desire
Object of DesireThis layout design project was briefed to produce a container of our choice. The project consisted of creating a booklet detailing an object perceived as extremely desirable. My design was a biomimicry perfume bottle taking inspiration from the human form. For submission the booklet was printed on high quality paper and saddle stitched to bind.
  • ZIEGLER
ZIEGLERAn industrial style bench for the modern home. ZIEGLER was inspired by the re-purposing of materials to make newly desirable products. The seat is made from a re-purposed scaffolding board and the legs are industrial hair pins. The seat is finely sanded then finished with polyurethane varnish and Briwax.
