Eyespace is a multi-award winning British eyewear company that celebrates Great British design. With a portfolio of proprietary and licensed brands that cover a range of market segments, they innovate on everything from design to service, and deliver products that stand out in the industry. Their portfolio includes collections for Aspinal of London, Range Rover and Land Rover.
This was a great role at an in-house studio. My role was to assist the marketing department with the production of print and digital assets which included but was not limited to, the production of annual and monthly catalogues, point of sale, exhibition graphics, presentations and electronic direct marketing (EDM). This position required a hands-on approach to support the multiple concurrent projects that were active within the marketing department. Deadlines and priorities often changed at a moment’s notice, therefore, the ability to change gears as smoothly as possible was a must.
Skills that I had developed in my previous roles proved fruitful at Eyespace. Because of my HTML and CSS capabilities, I had the means to create bespoke email templates in-house, offering greater control and flexibility over the presentation of electronic communications. Also, a skill I developed at Spark44 for building interactive brochures came into fruition at Eyespace, as I was able to create digital editions of the company's annual product collection catalogues. This functionality added navigation options, links to website product pages and pop-up information panels. Lastly, because of my in-depth knowledge of InDesign, I was able to optimise the creation and presentation of the annual catalogues with master pages, paragraph, character and object stylesheets.
