About me
I am a dedicated and hard working individual currently studying a Master's Degree in Music Engineering and Production at the University of South Wales. I graduated in July 2015 with a BSc in Music Technology and Electronic Engineering.
I have always had a keen interest in the technical aspects of sound and was given the opportunity to manage the sound in school, college and local productions. I have tailored my further education towards pursuing a career in this sector.
Throughout my education I have also managed to gain experience working in many different areas of the industry including live, studio and more recently recording the sound track for a short film. This experience has allowed me to work with and learn from various industry professionals.
Much of the experience I have already gained has come from working with Vanguardia Consulting at various festivals monitoring sound and noise levels on and off site.
I also worked with a local band providing PA equipment and my services as a sound engineer. This lead to me working as their sound engineer for their performance at Festival No.6.
Over the last few years I have also worked as a member of the stage crew at the Cornbury Music Festival, this involved helping Brittania Row set up the sound system, loading in and out between bands, and post-festival strip down. This experience involved me working in many different parts of the country and at all hours.
I understand that a career in sound production will demand a large amount of travel and flexibility in working hours. This variety is actually an element that attracted me to choose this profession as a career.
