I currently work in the People Insight department at Flamingo, a global insight and brand consultancy based in London, carrying out qualitative research through a variety of techniques. We look at people and culture to unearth insights and innovation opportunities for brands. My day to day role consists of conducting face to face interviews and focus groups, both with consumers and stakeholders, overseeing a variety of different digital ethnographic projects, liaising with clients, analysing findings and creating compelling stories and strategic truths for brands.
I had a two-week internship at an independent branding and digital agency in their London offices. Working under a senior account handler, I assisted the account management team on current accounts, researching brand history and compiling presentations for the redevelopment of the brand. I also worked with the copywriters, completing briefs, proofreading and helping on working accounts.
Internship in an independent London-based, international retail and leisure design consultancy. I worked with the insights and strategy team, carrying out store audits and customer experience research. I also produced the company’s newsletter, researching and collating national and international news regarding marketing and advertising. This then led to my involvement in the construction of the company’s new website, where I assisted in image sourcing and design.
Worked as part of a small team as a runner in a leading independent advertising agency, gaining first hand experience from senior members and partners of the agency. I contributed to the smooth running of the office, aiding teams in pitch preparation, research and assisting production.
