About me

On graduating, I founded clothing label ‘Merrimaking’ which brought together my interests in colour, design, branding and encouraged a playfulness in my approach to work. I’ve worked solidly on this for 7 years, and it’s at a stage where it can stand on it’s own feet, leaving me free to explore other interests. Recently, a longterm fascination with words, fonts and fairgrounds have come together in a new collection of artworks. Cut with a jigsaw and hand-painted from my studio in Brighton, the series features kitsch-inspired Bears and an empowering collection of words. Often embellished with gold leaf and fitted with glass halogen bulbs. There is a proud, campness about this collection of work, and it’s uplifting!
