- ICELAND Trend InfluencesIn its small yet powerful self, Iceland drives its own trends. Travelled to Iceland enabled me to capture the influencers impacting the fashion of the locals. The country is stunning with wonderful artistry everywhere; from the landscape to the capital city Reykjavik. The country is geologically and volcanically still active, with the most recent series of volcanic eruptions happening only in 2014, the Bárðarbunga explosion followed a horde of 1600 earthquakes with an average magnitude of 1.5, so it is clear that the country feels very much alive in itself. By visiting the magnificent scenery alike the Geysers, Hekla volcano, Gullfoss waterfalls, þingvellir tectonic plates, Seljalandsfoss waterfall, Skógafoss waterfall and Kerið volcanic crater I was able to captivate the natural beauty. I felt it imperative to experience Iceland in it’s physical self, being it an immediate driver into the sense of trend in the country. To have a balanced experience of Iceland and it’s influences I visited both capital city; Reykjavik, and old town; Hafnarfjörður. It was great to see the variance between the fashion of the city living in comparison to those in the town. The atmosphere I felt from all locals in city and town was laid-back and tranquil, even when having conversations with them they were welcoming and cheerful people. Their personalities were outgoing with love for art and creativity being clear in their colourful and eccentric attires. I tried to illuminate this in my photography collection. Iceland is, and has been since 1944, an independent republic where every person has a say in the future of the country, and the freedom is apparent. There is wonderful respect for their country and their people. In my photography I have attempted to illustrate the atmosphere and drivers crafting the fashion trends of Iceland.

Work history
Marketing InternTed Baker
- London, United KingdomInternship
Two weeks internship in the Marketing sector at Ted Baker Head office. I was based in mainly in social media; writing and updating blogs, but also researching new locations for new stores. In the midst of my time I went to the opening of Ted Baker's new commercial street store, selling a larger selection of accessories alongside a new salon, men's grooming and cafe inside the store. I was able to get an insight into the mechanics of a large fashion company and how it markets itself.
