• Carbon Smith BreweryI am currently working as a freelance artworker and developer for Carbon Smith Brewery, a micro nano-brewery based in Edinburgh.
• Dislocated DimensionsAdopting a mixed media approach to material research, my graduate collection aims to question the nature of textiles. Multi layered processes reflect my initial research exploring the way people interact with their environment both complimenting and obstructing the space in which they inhabit. Manipulating and distorting the flow of fabrics through the use of unconventional materials such as resin and latex create unexpected material juxtapositions. I envision my textiles being developed into a bespoke fashion collection with an accompanying range of accessories. Taking colour inspiration from the softening effect of natural light upon architectural contours, each sample combines soft tonal colours with robust shapes and graphic grid work. Through the combination of these contrasting elements I aim to challenge the function and purpose of printed textiles.
