About me
Hi, I'm Megan! I'm a freelance writer based in London, UK. I am a recipient of the London Writers Awards 2021 run by Spread the Word. I am also the founder of Assemblage Magazine, an art magazine run by artists for artists. I write articles and poems about art, sex, sexuality, mental health, intersectional feminism and culture. I have published online and in print in several publications including BRICKS Magazine, Thought Catalog, Tickle.Life, Brenda Magazine, House of Revolution, Backlash Press and New River Press. I have a degree in Fine Art from City & Guilds of London Art School, where I was awarded a prize for my writing by Art Monthly magazine. In addition to writing, I make multi-media artworks examining the myths and stories perpetuated about womanhood, desire and sexuality. By interrogating my own narratives, I aim to question which parts of myself are authentic and which are performed. I have exhibited in group shows across the UK, including The Potion Room and Picnic at Subsidiary Projects. I have professional experience in copy editing and proofing, social media strategy, digital marketing and management. For commissions, collaborations and work enquiries, please contact me.
