I have proven myself to be a creative, hardworking and flexible individual, with a strong set of interpersonal and communication skills. I follow direction efficiently and work well with others; however can also work successfully alone if required, remaining dedicated, open minded and enthusiastic throughout!
Here I delivered first line IT support to TJX head office employees across their European markets. I worked closely with various technical teams to provide timely and efficient solutions to problems, to ensure the smooth implementation of new programs, and to advise and support employees across the vast network of systems at their disposal. This required extensive knowledge of the hardware, software and applications used throughout the company, learned at a considerable pace to keep up with continuous development. I demonstrated my ability to confidently communicate with colleagues of varying seniority, be it telephone conversations, emails, face to face call outs or employee training sessions, and to appropriately manage expectations in the face of unforeseen system issues.
I completed a yearlong internship in Apple’s European headquarters, working within the advertising function. As one third of the team I was given a great deal of responsibility, working closely with agency staff and local creative directors across 10 markets. Having worked across the breadth of Apple’s product range and contributed towards Print, TV, Out of Home, Online and SEM campaigns, I proved my ability to manage numerous projects simultaneously, maintaining a keen eye for detail and successfully meeting deadlines throughout. This often took place under tight timescales and with a level of ambiguity owing to the secretive nature of campaign and product launches. Operating across both media and production enabled me to gain experience in the curation and localisation of advertising content, as well as the selection and negotiation of its subsequent placement. During production, impeccable communication skills were paramount to ensure all parties understood briefs and had the appropriate forum to explore amendments, before consolidating the sentiments of our agency and creatives, to ensure the best possible output. This also demanded exceptional attention to detail to ensure faultless final creative, and knowledge of the markets in question to verify that all localisation adhered to local standards and resonated with its intended audience. Meanwhile media planning required the embodiment of the brand to ensure all advertising garnered the best possible reach to our markets and audiences, securing premium placements that suitably represented Apple as a leading global brand. This involved the thorough review of potential placements, continuous monitoring of performance across all platforms, and the maintenance of crucial relationships with external partners. My time here culminated in leading the coordination of Print, TV, Online and SEM advertising campaigns for the launch of the Apple Watch in our European markets.
In 2016 I graduated from Bournemouth University with a 2:1 in Business Studies with Marketing. The duration of the course was four years, including a one year industrial placement, which I spent working within the Advertising team at Apple's European headquarters.
